Condolence From: Lisa Tolan
Condolence: My thoughts and condolences are with Lily and family. I worked on and off with your dad at FTI over the past 16 years and had a great fondness for him, as did my son and husband. I was lucky to have known him and worked with him all those years.

Condolence: My dear friend and soulmate Lamar Bostic passed away. I am so glad that we had a chance to catch up in person two years ago. We had some really great times in Fayetteville AR. We worked together at the University of Arkansas, but stayed in touch over the years. A few of my fond memories with Lamar:

Blowing off a conference to spend the whole time taking photos and processing prints in our hotel room. We drank and stayed up all night talking about life and all parts of it.

Paddling on the King’s River in a borrowed canoe. We fished and drank at a leisurely pace until we realized that we had only gone a couple of miles. We stroked hard to get to the car in complete darkness.

Producing a music video with a great group of friends using the De-Lux restaurant as a set. Katherine Shurlds Dave Edmark Dave Elms Frank Scheide
and more. Lamar did lighting and camera.

Pretty much any day at work with Lamar at the Center for Instructional Media & Development was a day of enjoyment. We did some amazing work with a truly great group of creative folks. Lamar was always way ahead of my on technical stuff, so I learned from him every day.

After work, I would go about once a week to Lamar’s apartment. Yea, more drinking, but some really special times.

It’s hard to accept that Lamar is gone. R.I.P., Lamar Bostic

Condolence: I had the privilege of being in band with Lamar in DeWitt, 1963 thru 1965, when we moved from there.

All I can say is, if he turned out to be half as great as a man as he was as a teenager, his passing will cause many hearts to be sore.

May the Lird be with you in this time of loss, and assuage your grief, as you remember Lamar and the good times you had together!

Condolence: I knew Lamar during my time working at the public access television station then called Fayetteville Open Channel in the mid- to late 1980s. I believe he was in some way affiliated with UA Media Services, which collaborated with and helped FOC in a variety of ways. I remember Lamar as a fun person who didn't take things too seriously. May he rest in peace.

Condolence: Lamar and I have recently reconnected via Facebook. He and I were Arkansas State University classmates and for a time worked together at the same small town radio station. I remember Lamar as bright and creative with a strong sense of adventure. My nature is to pray, thus I will continue with him in mind. Bruce Higgins Owensboro Ky
